Things that effect our metabolism

Metabolism is the set of life-sustaining chemical transformations within the cells of living organisms. These enzyme-catalyzed reactions allow organisms to grow and reproduce, maintain their structures, and respond to their environments. The word metabolism can also refer to all chemical reactions that occur in living organisms, including digestion and the transport of substances into and between different cells, in which case the set of reactions within the cells is called intermediary metabolism or intermediate metabolism.

Metabolism involves a complex network of hormones and enzymes that not only convert food into fuel but also affect how efficiently you burn that fuel.”The process of metabolism establishes the rate at which we burn our calories and, ultimately, how quickly we gain weight or how easily we lose it”!Metabolism is a constant process that begins when we’re conceived and ends when we die. It is a vital process for all life forms not just humans. If metabolism stops, a living thing dies.

Metabolism refers to the countless chemical processes going on continuously inside the body that allow life and normal functioning. The amount of kilojoules your body burns at any given time is affected by your metabolism. Your metabolic rate is influenced by many factors, including age, gender, muscle-to-fat ratio, amount of physical activity and hormone function. Your metabolism has two parts, which are carefully regulated by the body to make sure they remain in balance.

Your metabolism has two parts, which are carefully regulated by the body to make sure they remain in balance. They are: catabolism – the breakdown of food components (such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats) into their simpler forms, which can then be used to create energy and provide the basic building blocks needed for growth and repair anabolism – the part of metabolism in which our body is built or repaired. Anabolism requires energy that ultimately comes from our food. When we eat more than we need for daily anabolism, the excess nutrients are typically stored in our body as fat. Things which unintentionally affect our metabolism rate

When we eat more than we need for daily anabolism, the excess nutrients are typically stored in our body as fat. Things which unintentionally affect our metabolism rate include :- 1) Disturbance in the eating schedule :- An individual should have a fix eating schedule . A fixed time to eat the breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Disturbance in eating schedule disturbs the metabolic rate of an individual . It is been proved that if you eat at a given same time everyday you tend to burn loads of calories . 2) Lack of sleep :- When you sleep less , you should work less the next day . Lack of sleep decreases the metabolic rate of an individual . You may feel little suffocated too because the calories of the day aren’t burnt properly. image 3) Your period :- Yes ! Your period is also one of the reason to decrease the body metabolic rate . During periods women already lack little bit in iron . Due to lack of iron present in the body the metabolic rate also slows down . 4) Eating little :- If you eat very less ! Like hardly two to five spoons a meal . Your metabolic rate will decrease as you will have less of calorie intake ,thus your body will g into starvation mode , decreasing your metabolic rate . 5) Weather :- Weather is one of the most common reason of decrease in metabolic rate . Metabolic rate decreases when you are in low temperature and vice versa . 6) Less of calcium :- Another reason to have calcium in your body and to drink loads of milk is because calcium plays a vital role in metabolic rate . Lack of calcium in the body decreases the metabolic rate of an individual . image 7) Dehydration :- Dehydration is very bad for health . Another reason to drink more and more water everyday is because all our cellular processes depend on water . Lack of water in your body will decrease the metabolic rate of a person . 8) Skipping breakfast :- Never ever skip your breakfast . When you skip your breakfast you over eat the lunch , and store energy thus the calorie burn reduces and decreases the metabolic rate of an individual . 9) Siting at a place for longtime :- When you sit at a place for a long time . Your metabolism rate decreases for the day .It inhibits your metabolism in half an hour also ! 10) Stress :- When you have loads of stress in your life . You or eat more or eat very less. Thus this decreases the metabolic rate ! image

Ways to increase metabolism includes :-

1) Drink more water.

2) Eat smaller, more frequent meals.

3) Cut back on sugary foods and beverages.

4) Try to exercise at least 30 minutes a day most days of the week.

5) Do some weight training if you’re not doing so already.

6) Try to cut some stress from your life or learn better ways to handle it.

Each one of us possesses a unique metabolic rate due to our unique bodies. As we age, however, our metabolism slows down due to a variety of factors like intimacy, weight, height, body composition and genetics. On average, our metabolism slows down at least 5 percent each decade such that your high metabolism last year may not be so this year. With that said, a high metabolism refers to the body’s ability to burn calories at a faster rate than the average rate. Everyone should have a look at their metabolic rate . An average metabolic rate is very essential . If the metabolic rate gets very more or very less , it may cause several disorders in the body .
