His real name is John Prakasa Rao Janumala but we know his as Johnny Lever and this name brings smile on our faces each time. He has received 13 Filmfare Awards till date and won it twice for Deewana Mastana and Dulhe Raja. He is 78 years old today and we don’t see him any movies now but still he is one of the best comic actors Bollywood has ever seen. He started his career in 1973 with ‘Daag’ and did villainous roles in most of his movies in starting. But then he tried the comedy genre and he was accepted by the audience like never before. He has done more than 450 films and also has written dialogues in more than 250 films. He has played almost every role an actor desires to play. His last film was Family: Ties of Blood in 2006 and since then has not been so active because of health issues. His amazing comic timing and witty sense of humor has gained him great recognition in Bollywood and he has entertained us to the core in films like Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri, Angaar, Himmatwala, Aaj ka Daur, Dulhe Raja, Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and many more. He has won 3 Filmfare awards till date for Best Dialogue and Best Comedian.
5. Paresh Rawal
Just like Kader Khan and Shakti Kapoor, Paresh Rawal also started his career with serious and negative roles but then he turned to comic roles and made a great landmark in the genre. These days, he is member of the Lok Sabha of the Indian Parliament belonging to the BJP. He even did villainous character with comedy mixture in films like Daud, Andaaz Apna Apna and some other movies. He has won many Filmfare, Star Screen, IIFA, Apsara awards in his career along with National Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor in Woh Chokri. Recently, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. Paresh Rawal is still going strong and entertaining us.
