4 Reasons Why You Should Stop Being Lazy

If you conduct a social experiment around yourself for some days, you would notice that most of the people would prefer being surrounded with energetic people rather than lazy ones. The reason for this preference is simple that everyone’s personality is shaped by the kind of company the have. Thereby, if you have a couch potato around you, you probably would end up being just the same but if you have a person who is super energetic and utilises his/her time efficiently, you will start doing the same too. It is a no brainer that we all want to utilise our time in a super hero style. Laziness comes with perks like elongated resting periods, more free time and so on. However, little do we realise that those perks are long term hazards camouflaging themselves as perks. Also, if you are lazy, your parents and people around you would definitely curse you for the same and might just term you as a “useless fellow”. You do not want that, do you? read on to find out some more reasons why you should chuck the lazy card and get going.

1. Improved work efficiency

Improved work efficiency

This reason would be self explanatory. If you are lazy, you would just work for two hours in a day of 24 hours. But, if you are an energetic person who is not messing up his/her life with lethargy, then you would easily work for at least 7-8 hours in a day. This is the scenario where you obviously do not have a job and are sitting idle at home. The amount of work you would do by not being lazy would just shock you and make you realise that how much you are capable of. The improved work efficiency would also help you fight boredom and make you feel happy at the end of the day as you would then have a certain sense of having accomplished something in one day.

2. Attract Good Company

Good company

A human is a social animal. Thus, socialising becomes an important part of any human’s life. A number of researches show that an average person is likely to get attracted to an energetic person more than a lazy person. This seems fair to a layman too. An energetic person acts a source of inspiration and is a silent reminder of “buck up!”. We all are selfish deep down and thus would want to have such people who would help us in becoming better persons. If you are a non-lazy person then you would attract good people around you which would help you in your overall development. You would thus form a social network of yours where each one would teach one something or the pother about some aspect of life and you all could prove to be great friends for each other, in the truest form of the word.

3. Don’t Let People Call You Names

Don't let them call you names

We usually describe a lazy person as a “couch potato”, “useless fellow”, “lazy ass” and so on. Any sane person on this Earth would not want to be called this at all. You do not want some random kid who is not even half as intelligent as you are, to get the opportunity of bullying you and thereby, disrupting your mental peace and confidence. Nobody likes to be called names. That little reindeer Rudolph did not like it, how can we, humans, the highly evolved species tolerate that? when people call you names, it hurts your self respect and makes you frustrated. However, the worst part is that you cannot let out your frustration or prove them wrong because your actions have given them the liberty of mocking you. In order to save yourself from that embarrassment and protect that ego of yours from getting punctured, you need to get rid of that laziness because you know you are much more than a slob.

4. Feel Good

Feel good

If you keep on staying at home and do not do any work, you are bound to feel bored and lonely. At some point or the other, your bubble will burst and make you realise how much you have been losing out on life and that too, just by relaxing. You definitely do not want that to happen to you, do you? Thus, it is better to feel good about yourself and your life. This simple pleasure of life can be achieved by just being a person who has no ties whatsoever with the devil of laziness. Though, this does not mean that you have to constantly be on your toes and work like a maniac. You just have to utilise the day fully and this simple habit would make you feel good. It would give you a sense of pride and boost your self confidence, which would further add on to your personality. So, what are you waiting for? Go and implement the thought of not being lazy. Happy working!
